A video I produced at Above Eleven on my own, doing the filming, editing, text animation and colour grading myself.

A video I produced for Justice and Peace Netherlands, from concept to filming to editing.

Jan's job at Sofar in The Netherlands is to film and edit video for each performing band, which encompasses the location, the performances and the spirit of Sofar Sounds, which is then uploaded to their youtube channel which now has over 900,000 subscribers.

Sofar Sounds is a community of thousands of artists, hosts, fans, travelers and more, putting on hundreds of secret, intimate events per month, across 438 cities around the world. A Sofar gig is an intimate show held in an unique venue, like someone's living room or an antique shop.

Jan worked on this documentary as a director of photography and won the African Film Festival Award for best cinematography.

The film, by award-winning director Debi Lang, touches on Twesigye Jackson Kaguri’s moving personal story, which inspired the creation of Nyaka AIDS Orphans Project, a motivated, comprehensive, community-based organization that utilizes a unique holistic approach to not only combat hunger, illness and poverty, but also to educate children, create financial independence, and empower girls and women.

Jan was invited to take part in the 6 day Lucitopia Rural Design Challenge which consisted of 10 teams from 7 international academies and design institutions. winning the third place award

Together with his team, Jan won the third place award by developing a concept for an App to promote ecotourism in the area. For the final presentation Jan also filmed, edited and did sound design for the promotional video in less than 24 hours.

My work with Club NYX in Amsterdam varies from promotional video to anniversary celebration films and edits.

Club NYX strives to resemble her one true love: the city of Amsterdam. It’s a magical place that offers room to people of all walks and talks.
